BIOGRAPHY

Sandy Carruthers is the Executive Director, Strategy, Science and Corporate Services for the South Australian Department for Environment and Water. Sandy has 30 years experience working in the geo-spatial industry supporting government decision making. Sandy has an extensive background in the broad application of information and science to inform environmental policy and management. Sandy is Deputy Chair of the Australia and New Zealand Land Information Council (ANZLIC), the peak intergovernmental organisation providing leadership on all aspects of spatial information in Australia and New Zealand. She also sits on several industry research boards including Arid Recovery and the University of Adelaide’s Environment Institute
