Operations Manager for Precision Hydrographic Services (PHS)

BIOGRAPHY

Jennifer Brindle is the Operations Manager for Precision Hydrographic Services (PHS), providing hydrographic survey services across Australia. Jennifer graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Surveying in 2008 and then worked for Horizon Geosciences in the Middle East in various roles. During this time, she was involved in many interesting projects, such as high definition MBES surveys of shipwrecks in the Persian Gulf In 2018, Jennifer became the fourth woman in Australia to become a Certified Professional Hydrographic Surveyor Level 1 (CPHS1), the highest level of certification awarded by the AHSCP. Jennifer joined the SSSI SA Regional Committee and Hydrography Commission National Committee (HCNC) in 2019. Jennifer is also part of the SSSI Women in Spatial group, and the hydrography representative of the SSSI SA Regional Committee. In 2021 Jennifer was awarded the Future Leader of the Year award at the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards for South Australia and the Oceanic region.

PRESENTATION SUMMARY

Jennifer will be speaking in the 'Industry Intersections' Plenary. Giving us her input on the 'What is the connection and how do we improve it?' panel, Jennifer will provide us with her perspective from the Sea.
