CEO, Space Industry Association of Australia
James Brown is the CEO of Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAS) . He will facilitate the growth of the space industry in Australia, and be the leading national voice for participants at all levels of the Australian space industry. A key objective of James’s role will be to drive growth for the SIAA and more broadly, for the space sector as a whole. At the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney James led teams building better public policy to guide the Australian-American relationship and at the Lowy Institute he developed research insights into Australia's strategic environment and military strategy. He works at the nexus of public policy, national security, academia, and industry. He is passionate about leadership and public service and enjoy working with teams to solve complex problems with multiple stakeholders. James has written two books on national security issues and regularly contribute expert commentary to national media. He is also a former Australian Army officer with operational experience in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Solomon Islands.
