Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation /Australian Hydrographic Office

The Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO) is the lead geospatial and imagery intelligence organisation in the Department of Defence. Its purpose is to provide geospatial intelligence from imagery and other sources, in support of Australia’s defence and national interests.

The Australian Hydrographic Office is the Commonwealth Government agency responsible for the publication and distribution of nautical charts and other information required for the safety of ships navigating in Australian waters. It is also the Australian Defence Force (ADF) agency responsible for the provision of maritime Military Geographic Information (MGI) for ADF operations and exercises.
